ति॒स्रो य॒ह्वस्य॑ स॒मिधः॒ परि॑ज्मनो॒ऽग्नेर॑पुनन्नु॒शिजो॒ अमृ॑त्यवः । तासा॒मेका॒मद॑धु॒र्मर्त्ये॒ भुज॑मु लो॒कमु॒ द्वे उप॑ जा॒मिमी॑यतुः ॥ (९)

अग्नि की अभिलाषा करने वाले मरणरहित देवों ने महान्‌ और चारों ओर जाने वाले अग्नि के ज्ञापक पार्थिव, वैद्युतिक एवं सूर्यरूप तीन शरीरों को पवित्र किया था. देवों ने सबका पालन करने वाले पार्थिव शरीर को धरती पर एवं शेष दो को आकाश में रखा. (९)

English

The godless who longed for agni had sanctified the three mortal, the earthly, the electric and the sun, the great and the guardians of the agni that went around. The gods placed the earthly body on earth and the other two in the sky. (9)
