तनू॒नपा॑दुच्यते॒ गर्भ॑ आसु॒रो नरा॒शंसो॑ भवति॒ यद्वि॒जाय॑ते । मा॒त॒रिश्वा॒ यदमि॑मीत मा॒तरि॒ वात॑स्य॒ सर्गो॑ अभव॒त्सरी॑मणि ॥ (११)

अरणियों में गर्भरूप से वर्तमान अग्नि तनूनपात्‌ कहे जाते हैं. उत्पन्न होने पर उनका नाम असुर तथा नराशंस हो जाता है. जब वे आकाश में अपना तेज फैलाते हैं, तब मातरिश्वा कहलाते हैं. अग्नि के शीघ्र गमन पर वायु की उत्पत्ति होती है. (११)

In the aranis, the present agni is said to be the current agni trunnel. When born, their names become Asuras and Narasans. When they spread their brightness in the sky, they are called matrishava. Air is produced on the early movement of agni. (11)
