स॒द्यो जा॒त ओष॑धीभिर्ववक्षे॒ यदी॒ वर्ध॑न्ति प्र॒स्वो॑ घृ॒तेन॑ । आप॑ इव प्र॒वता॒ शुम्भ॑माना उरु॒ष्यद॒ग्निः पि॒त्रोरु॒पस्थे॑ ॥ (८)

तुरंत उत्पन्न अग्नि को ओषधियां धारण करती हैं. उस समय बहने के मार्ग पर जाने वाले जल के समान सुशोभित वे ओषधियां फल देती हुई जल के द्वारा बढ़ती हैं. माता- पितारूप धरती एवं आकाश की गोदी में बढ़ते हुए अग्नि हमारी रक्षा करें. (८)

The immediately produced agni is held by the herbs. At that time, those herbs, beautified like the water that goes on the way of flowing, grow through the water giving fruit. Let the agnis grow in the dock of the earth and sky as parents protect us. (8)
