उदु॑ ष्टु॒तः स॒मिधा॑ य॒ह्वो अ॑द्यौ॒द्वर्ष्म॑न्दि॒वो अधि॒ नाभा॑ पृथि॒व्याः । मि॒त्रो अ॒ग्निरीड्यो॑ मात॒रिश्वा दू॒तो व॑क्षद्य॒जथा॑य दे॒वान् ॥ (९)

हमारे द्वारा स्तुत एवं प्रज्वलित होने के कारण महान्‌ अग्नि उत्तर वेदी के मध्यभाग में आकाश को प्रकाशित करते हैं. सबके मित्र, स्तुति-योग्य एवं अरणि से उत्पन्न होने वाले अग्नि देवों के दूत बनकर उन्हें यज्ञ के निमित्त बुलावें. (९)

Being praised and ignited by us, the great agni illuminates the sky in the middle part of the north altar. Be the friends of all, praiseworthy and messengers of the agni gods born of avani and invite them for the yagna. (9)
