म॒हान्स॒धस्थे॑ ध्रु॒व आ निष॑त्तो॒ऽन्तर्द्यावा॒ माहि॑ने॒ हर्य॑माणः । आस्क्रे॑ स॒पत्नी॑ अ॒जरे॒ अमृ॑क्ते सब॒र्दुघे॑ उरुगा॒यस्य॑ धे॒नू ॥ (४)

महान्‌ एवं यजमानों द्वारा चाहे गए अग्नि धरती और आकाश के बीच अपने उत्तम स्थान पर स्थित होते हैं. चलने वाली, सूर्यरूपी एक ही पति की पत्नियां, जरारहित, दूसरों द्वारा अहिंसित एवं जलरूपी दूध लेने वाले धरती व आकाश उस शीघ्रगामी अग्नि की गाएं हैं. (४)

The agnis desired by the greats and hosts are located in their best place between the earth and the sky. The wives of the same husband, the sun-like, the unselected, the earth and the sky, which are unviolable by others and who take watery milk, are the songs of that fast-moving agni. (4)
