जा॒नन्ति॒ वृष्णो॑ अरु॒षस्य॒ शेव॑मु॒त ब्र॒ध्नस्य॒ शास॑ने रणन्ति । दि॒वो॒रुचः॑ सु॒रुचो॒ रोच॑माना॒ इळा॒ येषां॒ गण्या॒ माहि॑ना॒ गीः ॥ (५)

मनुष्य कामवर्षी एवं शत्रुहीन अग्नि के आश्रय से मिलने वाले सुख को जानते हैं, इसीलिए महान्‌ अग्नि की आज्ञा पालने में प्रसन्न रहते हैं. जिन मनुष्यों की अग्नि-स्तुतिरूपी वाणी उत्तम होती है, वे स्वर्ग को प्राप्त करने वाले, उत्तम दीर्घायुयुक्त एवं तेजस्वी बनते हैं. (५)

Human beings know the pleasures of the refuge of the workable and the enemyless agni, that is why they are happy to obey the great agni. Men whose agni-praising voice is excellent become the recipients of heaven, those who have a good long life and a bright one. (5)
