वृ॒षा॒यन्ते॑ म॒हे अत्या॑य पू॒र्वीर्वृष्णे॑ चि॒त्राय॑ र॒श्मयः॑ सुया॒माः । देव॑ होतर्म॒न्द्रत॑रश्चिकि॒त्वान्म॒हो दे॒वान्रोद॑सी॒ एह व॑क्षि ॥ (९)

हे दीर्घायुयुक्त एवं देवों को बुलाने वाले अग्नि! अधिक संख्या वाली अतिशय विस्तृत एवं सब जगह फैली हुई ज्वालाएं तुझ महान्‌, सबका अतिक्रमण करने वाले, अनेक-वर्ण युक्त एवं कामवर्षक के बैल के समान आचरण करती हैं. हे यजमान! परम प्रसन्न करने वाले एवं ज्ञानयुक्त इस यज्ञकर्म में पूजा योग्य देवों के साथ धरती-आकाश को भी बुलाते हो.
