स॒त्रा सोमा॑ अभवन्नस्य॒ विश्वे॑ स॒त्रा मदा॑सो बृह॒तो मदि॑ष्ठाः । स॒त्राभ॑वो॒ वसु॑पति॒र्वसू॑नां॒ दत्रे॒ विश्वा॑ अधिथा इन्द्र कृ॒ष्टीः ॥ (६)

यह सत्य है कि सभी सोम इंद्र के हैं. यह भी सत्य है कि नशा करने वाले सोम महान्‌ इंद्र को बहुत प्रसन्न करते हैं. यह भी सत्य है कि इंद्र न केवल धन के अपितु पशु आदि समस्त संपत्तियों के स्वामी हैं. हे इंद्र! तुम धन के लिए समस्त प्रजाओं को धारण करते हो. (६)
