स॒त्रा॒हणं॒ दाधृ॑षिं॒ तुम्र॒मिन्द्रं॑ म॒हाम॑पा॒रं वृ॑ष॒भं सु॒वज्र॑म् । हन्ता॒ यो वृ॒त्रं सनि॑तो॒त वाजं॒ दाता॑ म॒घानि॑ म॒घवा॑ सु॒राधाः॑ ॥ (८)

हम स्तुतिकर्तता बहुत से शत्रुओं के हंता, धर्षक, प्रेरक, महान्‌, विनाशरहित, कामवर्षी एवं शोभन वञ्ज धारण करने वाले इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. वे वृत्र असुर को मारने वाले, अन्न देने वाले, शोभन धनयुक्त एवं धनदानकर्ता हैं. (८)

We praise Indra, who is the harbinger, the abrasive, the motivator, the great, the unspoken, the workable and the adorned vanja of many enemies. They are the ones who kill the Vrithra Asura, the givers of food, the rich and the givers of wealth. (8)
