यस्त॒स्तम्भ॒ सह॑सा॒ वि ज्मो अन्ता॒न्बृह॒स्पति॑स्त्रिषध॒स्थो रवे॑ण । तं प्र॒त्नास॒ ऋष॑यो॒ दीध्या॑नाः पु॒रो विप्रा॑ दधिरे म॒न्द्रजि॑ह्वम् ॥ (१)

यज्ञ का पालन करने वाले एवं शब्द के द्वारा तीनों स्थानों में वर्तमान बृहस्पति ने अपनी शक्ति द्वारा दसों दिशाओं को स्थिर किया है. प्रसन्रतादायक जीभ वाले बृहस्पतियों को प्राचीन ऋषियों एवं मेधावियों ने सबसे आगे स्थापित किया था. (१)
