परि॒ त्मना॑ मि॒तद्रु॑रेति॒ होता॒ग्निर्म॒न्द्रो मधु॑वचा ऋ॒तावा॑ । द्रव॑न्त्यस्य वा॒जिनो॒ न शोका॒ भय॑न्ते॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑ना॒ यदभ्रा॑ट् ॥ (५)

ऋत्विज्‌ आदि मानवों ने प्रसिद्ध, क्रमशः देवों को बुलाने वाले, ज्ञानसंपन्न, रमणीय, पवित्र प्रकाश वाले, श्रेष्ठ यज्ञकर्ता एवं सात तेजों से युक्त अग्नि को स्थापित किया था. (५)
