मा॒र्जा॒ल्यो॑ मृज्यते॒ स्वे दमू॑नाः कविप्रश॒स्तो अति॑थिः शि॒वो नः॑ । स॒हस्र॑श‍ृङ्गो वृष॒भस्तदो॑जा॒ विश्वा॑ँ अग्ने॒ सह॑सा॒ प्रास्य॒न्यान् ॥ (८)

सबको पवित्र करने वाले अग्नि अपने स्थान में पूजे जाते हैं. कवियों द्वारा प्रशंसित अग्नि हमारे लिए अतिथि के समान पूज्य एवं सुखकर हैं. अग्नि का प्रसिद्ध बल अपरिमित ज्वालाओं वाला, कामवर्षी एवं अन्य सबको पराभूत करने वाला है. (८)

The agni that sanctifies all is worshipped in its place. The agni, admired by the poets, is as revered and pleasant as a guest to us. The famous force of agni is one with infinite flames, the one who is going to defeat the workman and everyone else. (8)
