अस॑म्मृष्टो जायसे मा॒त्रोः शुचि॑र्म॒न्द्रः क॒विरुद॑तिष्ठो वि॒वस्व॑तः । घृ॒तेन॑ त्वावर्धयन्नग्न आहुत धू॒मस्ते॑ के॒तुर॑भवद्दि॒वि श्रि॒तः ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! तुम अरणियोंरूपी माताओं से निर्बाध जन्म लेते हो. तुम पवित्र, सबके द्वारा प्रशंसित, विद्वान, यजमानों द्वारा प्रज्वलित एवं पूर्ववर्ती-ऋषियों द्वारा घी की सहायता से बढ़ाए गए हो. हे आहुतिपूर्ण अग्नि! तुम्हारा धुआं तुम्हारे ध्वज के रूप में आकाश में स्थित है. (३)

O agni! You are born uninterrupted from the mothers of the arinus. You are holy, admired by all, learned, ignited by hosts and magnified by the ancient sages with the help of ghee. O holy agni! Your smoke is located in the sky as your flag. (3)
