प्राग्नये॑ बृह॒ते य॒ज्ञिया॑य ऋ॒तस्य॒ वृष्णे॒ असु॑राय॒ मन्म॑ । घृ॒तं न य॒ज्ञ आ॒स्ये॒३॒॑ सुपू॑तं॒ गिरं॑ भरे वृष॒भाय॑ प्रती॒चीम् ॥ (१)

महान्‌, यज्ञ के योग्य, जल बरसाने वाले, शक्तिशाली एवं कामना पूर्ण करने वाले अग्नि के मुख में यज्ञ करते समय जो घृत डाला है, हमारी स्तुतियां अग्नि को उसी के समान प्रसन्न करें. (१)
