शुचिः॑ ष्म॒ यस्मा॑ अत्रि॒वत्प्र स्वधि॑तीव॒ रीय॑ते । सु॒षूर॑सूत मा॒ता क्रा॒णा यदा॑न॒शे भग॑म् ॥ (८)

वे अनने प्रज्वलित होते हैं, जिनके लिए यजमान अत्रि ऋषि के समान हवि देने जाते हैं एवं जो फरसे के समान वृक्षों का नाश करते हैं. अरणिरूपी माता ने उन अग्नि को जन्म दिया था जो संसार का उपकार करते हैं एवं अन्न ग्रहण करते हैं. (८)

They are ignited, for whom the hosts go to give havi like sage Atri and who destroy the trees like a furse. The mother of Aranirupi gave birth to the agni which blesses the world and receives food. (8)
