अच्छा॑ वद त॒वसं॑ गी॒र्भिरा॒भिः स्तु॒हि प॒र्जन्यं॒ नम॒सा वि॑वास । कनि॑क्रदद्वृष॒भो जी॒रदा॑नू॒ रेतो॑ दधा॒त्योष॑धीषु॒ गर्भ॑म् ॥ (१)

हे स्तोता! सामने जाकर बलवान्‌ पर्जन्य को अपना अभिप्राय ठीक से बताओ, स्तुति वचनों से उनकी प्रशंसा करो एवं हव्य अन्न द्वारा उनकी सेवा करो. गर्जन शब्द करने वाले, वर्षाकारक एवं शीघ्र दान करने वाले पर्जन्य ओषधियों में गर्भ धारण करते हैं. (१)
