वने॑षु॒ व्य१॒॑न्तरि॑क्षं ततान॒ वाज॒मर्व॑त्सु॒ पय॑ उ॒स्रिया॑सु । हृ॒त्सु क्रतुं॒ वरु॑णो अ॒प्स्व१॒॑ग्निं दि॒वि सूर्य॑मदधा॒त्सोम॒मद्रौ॑ ॥ (२)

वरुण ने वनों के ऊपर अंतरिक्ष को फैलाया है. वे घोड़ों में बल, गायों में दूध, हृदयों में यज्ञकार्य का संकल्प, जलों में अग्नि, स्वर्ग में सूर्य एवं पर्वतों पर सोमलता का विस्तार करते हैं. (२)

Varuna has spread the space over the forests. They extend strength in horses, milk in cows, resolution of yajnakarma in the hearts, agni in waters, sun in heaven and somalata on the mountains. (2)
