नी॒चीन॑बारं॒ वरु॑णः॒ कव॑न्धं॒ प्र स॑सर्ज॒ रोद॑सी अ॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । तेन॒ विश्व॑स्य॒ भुव॑नस्य॒ राजा॒ यवं॒ न वृ॒ष्टिर्व्यु॑नत्ति॒ भूम॑ ॥ (३)

वरुण धरती, स्वर्ग और अंतरिक्ष के कल्याण के लिए मेघ के नीचे की ओर जल निकलने का मार्ग बनाते हैं. वर्षा जैसे जौ आदि अन्नों को गीला करती है, उसी प्रकार विश्व के राजा वरुण धरती को गीला करते हैं. (३)

Varuna makes way for the release of water under the cloud for the welfare of earth, heaven and space. Rain, such as barley, etc., wets the grains, in the same way the king of the world, Varuna, wets the earth. (3)
