वि॒शां क॒विं वि॒श्पतिं॒ शश्व॑तीनां नि॒तोश॑नं वृष॒भं च॑र्षणी॒नाम् । प्रेती॑षणिमि॒षय॑न्तं पाव॒कं राज॑न्तम॒ग्निं य॑ज॒तं र॑यी॒णाम् ॥ (८)

हम लोग यजमानादि नित्य प्रजाओं के स्वामी, क्रांतदर्शी, शत्रुनाशक, कामना पूर्ण करने वाले, स्तोताओं के गंतव्य, अन्न के निर्माता एवं दीप्तियुक्त अग्नि की स्तुति धन पाने के लिए करते हैं. (८)

We worship the host, the masters of the eternal people, the revolutionaries, the enemies, the wish-givers, the destinations of the hymns, the maker of food and the radiant agni to gain wealth. (8)
