नाना॒ ह्य१॒॑ग्नेऽव॑से॒ स्पर्ध॑न्ते॒ रायो॑ अ॒र्यः । तूर्व॑न्तो॒ दस्यु॑मा॒यवो॑ व्र॒तैः सीक्ष॑न्तो अव्र॒तम् ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! शत्रुओं के धन तुम्हारे स्तोताओं की रक्षा के लिए एक-दूसरे से पहले जाने की इच्छा करते हैं. शत्रुओं की हिंसा करते हुए तुम्हारे स्तोता यज्ञं द्वारा यज्ञहीनों को हराना चाहते हैं. (३)
