अध॒ त्वष्टा॑ ते म॒ह उ॑ग्र॒ वज्रं॑ स॒हस्र॑भृष्टिं ववृतच्छ॒ताश्रि॑म् । निका॑मम॒रम॑णसं॒ येन॒ नव॑न्त॒महिं॒ सं पि॑णगृजीषिन् ॥ (१०)

हे उग्र इंद्र! त्वष्टा ने तुम्हारे लिए हजार धार एवं सौ टुकड़ों वाला वज्र बनाया था. हे सोमलता का नीरस अंश ग्रहण करने वाले इंद्र! तुमने उस वज्र द्वारा निश्चित अभिलाषा वाले शत्रुओं से भिड़ने को उतावले एवं गर्जन करते हुए वृत्र को पीस डाला था. (१०)
