म॒हाँ इन्द्रो॑ नृ॒वदा च॑र्षणि॒प्रा उ॒त द्वि॒बर्हा॑ अमि॒नः सहो॑भिः । अ॒स्म॒द्र्य॑ग्वावृधे वी॒र्या॑यो॒रुः पृ॒थुः सुकृ॑तः क॒र्तृभि॑र्भूत् ॥ (१)

जैसे राजा मनुष्यों की कामना पूर्ण करता है, उसी प्रकार स्तोताओं की इच्छा पूरी करने वाले इंद्र आवें. दोनों लोकों में पराक्रम दिखाने वाले एवं शत्रुसेनाओं द्वारा अपराजित इंद्र हमारे सामने वीरता के कार्यो के लिए बढ़ते हैं. विस्तृत शरीर एवं गुणों वाले इंद्र को यजमान भली प्रकार जानते हैं. (१)

Just as the king fulfills the desire of men, so come Indra, who fulfills the will of the stoetas. Indra, who is shown valour in both the realms and undefeated by the enemy forces, rises before us for acts of bravery. Indra, who has a wide body and qualities, is well known to the host. (1)
