स॒जोष॑स्त्वा दि॒वो नरो॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॑ के॒तुमि॑न्धते । यद्ध॒ स्य मानु॑षो॒ जनः॑ सुम्ना॒युर्जु॒ह्वे अ॑ध्व॒रे ॥ (३)

हे यज्ञ का संकेत करने वाले अग्नि! परस्पर प्रेम रखने वाले ऋत्विज्‌ तुम्हें प्रज्वलित करते हैं. मनु के वंशज यजमान सुख पाने की इच्छा से तुम्हें यज्ञ में बुलाते हें. (३)
