धायो॑भिर्वा॒ यो युज्ये॑भिर॒र्कैर्वि॒द्युन्न द॑विद्यो॒त्स्वेभिः॒ शुष्मैः॑ । शर्धो॑ वा॒ यो म॒रुतां॑ त॒तक्ष॑ ऋ॒भुर्न त्वे॒षो र॑भसा॒नो अ॑द्यौत् ॥ (८)

जो अग्नि स्वयं रथ में जुड़ने वाले घोड़ों के समान किरणों के साथ आगे बढ़ते हैं, वे अपने तेजों द्वारा बिजली के समान चमकते हैं. मरुतों की शक्ति सीमित करने वाले, सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी एवं वेगशाली अग्नि प्रकाशित होते हैं. (८)

The agnis that move forward with the same rays as the horses joining the chariot themselves shine like lightning by their radiances. The powerful and fast agnis like the sun are illuminated, which limit the power of the maruts. (8)
