स स॑त्यसत्वन्मह॒ते रणा॑य॒ रथ॒मा ति॑ष्ठ तुविनृम्ण भी॒मम् । या॒हि प्र॑पथि॒न्नव॒सोप॑ म॒द्रिक्प्र च॑ श्रुत श्रावय चर्ष॒णिभ्यः॑ ॥ (५)

हे शक्तिशाली योद्धाओं वाले तथा अधिक धनसंपन्न इंद्र! तुम महान्‌ रण के लिए अपने भयानक रथ पर बैठो. हे उत्तम-मार्ग वाले इंद्र! तुम हमारी रक्षा के लिए हमारे सामने आओ. हे प्रसिद्ध इंद्र! अन्य प्रजाओं की अपेक्षा हमें प्रसिद्ध बनाओ. (५)
