स नो॑ वि॒भावा॑ च॒क्षणि॒र्न वस्तो॑र॒ग्निर्व॒न्दारु॒ वेद्य॒श्चनो॑ धात् । वि॒श्वायु॒र्यो अ॒मृतो॒ मर्त्ये॑षूष॒र्भुद्भूदति॑थिर्जा॒तवे॑दाः ॥ (२)

दिन में प्रकाशकर्ता, सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी, जानने योग्य, सबके जीवन हेतु, मरणरहित, सदा चलने वाले, सब प्राणियों के ज्ञाता एवं यजमानों में प्रातःकाल जागने वाले अग्नि हमें वंदनीय अन्न दें. (२)

May the lighter of the day, as bright as the sun, worthy of knowing, for the life of all, without death, ever-moving, the agni that awakens in the morning in the knower and hosts of all beings, give us the holy food. (2)
