नू नो॑ अग्नेऽवृ॒केभिः॑ स्व॒स्ति वेषि॑ रा॒यः प॒थिभिः॒ पर्ष्यंहः॑ । ता सू॒रिभ्यो॑ गृण॒ते रा॑सि सु॒म्नं मदे॑म श॒तहि॑माः सु॒वीराः॑ ॥ (८)

हे अग्नि! तुम बिना चोर वाले मार्ग से हमें शीघ्र कल्याणकारी धन के पास ले जाओ, पाप से छुड़ाओ एवं स्तोताओं को मिलने वाले सुख हमें दो. हम उत्तम संतान पाकर सौ वर्ष तक जीवित रहें. (८)

O agni! You must lead us quickly to welfare money by the path of thieves, deliver us from sin, and give us the pleasures of the psalms. May we live for a hundred years with the best offspring. (8)
