इन्द्रा॑सोमा॒ महि॒ तद्वां॑ महि॒त्वं यु॒वं म॒हानि॑ प्रथ॒मानि॑ चक्रथुः । यु॒वं सूर्यं॑ विवि॒दथु॑र्यु॒वं स्व१॒॑र्विश्वा॒ तमां॑स्यहतं नि॒दश्च॑ ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र एवं सोम! तुम्हारा महत्त्व बड़ा है. तुमने महान्‌ भूतों को बनाया था. तुमने सूर्य और जल की खोज की है एवं सभी निंदकों व अंधकारों का नाश किया है. (१)
