स इत्तन्तुं॒ स वि जा॑ना॒त्योतुं॒ स वक्त्वा॑न्यृतु॒था व॑दाति । य ईं॒ चिके॑तद॒मृत॑स्य गो॒पा अ॒वश्चर॑न्प॒रो अ॒न्येन॒ पश्य॑न् ॥ (३)

वैश्वानर अग्नि ही ताने-बाने को जानते हैं एवं समय-समय पर कहने योग्य बातें कहते हैं. जल के रक्षक एवं भूलोक में विचरण करने वाले अग्न सूर्यरूप से सबको देखते हुए जगत्‌ को जानते हैं. (३)
