म॒हाँ अ॑स्यध्व॒रस्य॑ प्रके॒तो न ऋ॒ते त्वद॒मृता॑ मादयन्ते । आ विश्वे॑भिः स॒रथं॑ याहि दे॒वैर्न्य॑ग्ने॒ होता॑ प्रथ॒मः स॑दे॒ह ॥ (१)

हे यज्ञ का विज्ञापन करने वाले अग्नि! तुम महान्‌ हो. तुम्हारे बिना देवगण प्रसन्न नहीं होते. तुम रथ के स्वामी बनकर सब देवों के साथ आओ एवं प्रमुख होता बनकर यहां बिछे हुए कुशों पर बैठो. (१)

O agni advertising the yajna! You're great. Without you, the gods would not have been happy. You become the lord of the chariot and come with all the gods and become the chief and sit on the kushas laid here. (1)
