प्राग्नये॑ विश्व॒शुचे॑ धियं॒धे॑ऽसुर॒घ्ने मन्म॑ धी॒तिं भ॑रध्वम् । भरे॑ ह॒विर्न ब॒र्हिषि॑ प्रीणा॒नो वै॑श्वान॒राय॒ यत॑ये मती॒नाम् ॥ (१)

हे मित्रो! सबको उद्दीप्त करने वाले, कमो के धारणकर्ता एवं असुर विनाशक अग्नि के प्रति सुंदर स्तुतियां बोलो. मैं प्रसन्न होकर कामपूरक वैश्वानर अग्नि को यज्ञ में हवि एवं स्तुति समर्पित करता हूं. (१)
