यु॒ध्मो अ॑न॒र्वा ख॑ज॒कृत्स॒मद्वा॒ शूरः॑ सत्रा॒षाड्ज॒नुषे॒मषा॑ळ्हः । व्या॑स॒ इन्द्रः॒ पृत॑नाः॒ स्वोजा॒ अधा॒ विश्वं॑ शत्रू॒यन्तं॑ जघान ॥ (३)

योद्धा, शत्रुरहित, युद्ध करने वाले, झगड़ालू, शूर, अनेक जनों को पराजित करने वाले, स्वभाव से ही अपराजित एवं उत्तम शक्ति वाले इंद्र शत्रुसेना के मार्ग में बाधा डालते हैं एवं श्रुता करने वाले का वध करते हैं. (३)
