यो दे॒ह्यो॒३॒॑ अन॑मयद्वध॒स्नैर्यो अ॒र्यप॑त्नीरु॒षस॑श्च॒कार॑ । स नि॒रुध्या॒ नहु॑षो य॒ह्वो अ॒ग्निर्विश॑श्चक्रे बलि॒हृतः॒ सहो॑भिः ॥ (५)

जिन अग्नि ने आसुरी विद्याओं को आयुधों द्वारा हीन बनाया है एवं सूर्यपत्नी उषा को उत्पन्न किया है, उन्हीं महान्‌ अग्नि ने बल द्वारा प्रजाओं को रोककर राजा नहुष को कर देने वाला बनाया था. (५)

The same great agni which has made the asuris scholars inferior to the armaments and has produced the surya-wife Usha, the same great agni had stopped the people by force and made King Nahush a tax-giver. (5)
