वर्षि॑ष्ठक्षत्रा उरु॒चक्ष॑सा॒ नरा॒ राजा॑ना दीर्घ॒श्रुत्त॑मा । ता बा॒हुता॒ न दं॒सना॑ रथर्यतः सा॒कं सूर्य॑स्य र॒श्मिभिः॑ ॥ (२)

अत्यंत बढ़े हुए बल वाले, देखने में विशाल, यज्ञकर्म के नेता, दीप्तिशाली व अतिशय विद्वान्‌ वे मित्र व वरुण दोनों भुजाओं के समान सूर्य की किरणों के साथ कर्म करते हैं. (२)
