म॒हाँ अ॑सि सोम॒ ज्येष्ठ॑ उ॒ग्राणा॑मिन्द॒ ओजि॑ष्ठः । युध्वा॒ सञ्छश्व॑ज्जिगेथ ॥ (१६)

हे सोम! तुम महान्‌, देवों को प्रसन्न करने वाले एवं परम प्रशंसनीय हो. हे पवमान सोम! तुम उग्र बल वाले लोगों में अतिशय ओजस्वी हो. तुमने शत्रुओं के साथ युद्ध करते हुए उनका धन जीत लिया था. (१६)
