मूर्धानं दिवो अरतिं पृथिव्या वैश्वानरमृत आ जातमग्निम् । कविँ सम्राजमतिथिं जनानामासन्नाः पात्रं जनयन्त देवाः ॥ (५)

हे अग्नि! आप सब से ऊपर (सर्वोपरि) हैं. आप स्वर्गलोक के वासी हैं. आप भूलोक के स्वामी हैं. आप यज्ञ में उत्पन्न हैं. आप ज्ञानी मनुष्यों में मेहमान की तरह पूजनीय हैं. मुख की तरह मुख्य हैं. आप को देवताओं ने उत्पन्न किया है. (५)

O agni! You are above all (paramount). You are the inhabitants of heaven. You are the master of the earth. You are born in yajna. You are revered as a guest in knowledgeable human beings. Are the main like the mouth. You have been created by gods. (5)
