वि त्वदापो न पर्वतस्य पृष्ठादुक्थेभिरग्ने जनयन्त देवाः । तं त्वा गिरः सुष्टुतयो वाजयन्त्याजिं न गिर्ववाहो जिग्युरश्वाः ॥ (६)

हे अग्नि! जैसे पर्वत के ऊपरी भाग से जल उत्पन्न होता है, वैसे ही विद्वान्‌ यजमान आप को अपनी स्तुतियों से प्रकट करते हैं. जैसे घोड़े युद्ध में विजय पाते हैं, वैसे ही आप हमारी स्तुतियों से संचालित होते हैं. इस से हमें विजय (कामना सिद्धि) मिलती है. (६)

O agni! Just as water is produced from the upper part of the mountain, so the learned hosts reveal you with their praises. Just as horses win in battle, so you are driven by our praises. From this, we get victory (kamna siddhi). (6)
