मि॒त्रः स॒ꣳसृज्य॑ पृथि॒वीं भूमिं॑ च॒ ज्योति॑षा स॒ह। सुजा॑तं जा॒तवे॑दसमय॒क्ष्माय॑ त्वा॒ सꣳसृ॑जामि प्र॒जाभ्यः॑ ॥ (५३)

जैसे हमारे मित्र सूर्य अपनी ज्योति के साथ पृथ्वी को प्रकाशित करते हैं, उसी प्रकार हम प्रजा के कल्याण के लिए अग्नि को प्रकाशित करते हैं. आप सम्यक्‌ रूप से उत्पन्न हैं. आप सर्वविद्‌ हैं. हम यक्ष्मा (रोग) नाश के लिए आप को सिरजते हैं. (५३)
