अवो॑चाम क॒वये॒ मेध्या॑य॒ वचो॑ व॒न्दारु॑ वृष॒भाय॒ वृष्णे॑। गवि॑ष्ठिरो॒ नम॑सा॒ स्तोम॑म॒ग्नौ दि॒वीव रु॒क्ममु॑रु॒व्यञ्च॑मश्रेत् ॥ (२५)

अग्नि कवि, मेधावी, शक्तिमान व धनवान हैं. हम वचनों से उन की बंदना करते हैं. हम अग्नि की वैसे ही उपासना करते हैं. हम उन की महिमायुक्‍्त उपासना करते हैं. हम स्वर्ग को प्रकाशित करने वाले अग्नि के लिए उपासना करते हैं. (२५)

Agni is a poet, meritorious, powerful and rich. We worship them with words. That's how we worship agni. We worship them with glory. We worship for the agni that illuminates heaven. (25)
