होता॑ यक्ष॒दिडा॑भि॒रिन्द्र॑मीडि॒तमा॒जुह्वा॑न॒मम॑र्त्यम्। दे॒वो दे॒वैः सवी॑र्यो॒ वज्र॑हस्तः पुरन्द॒रो वेत्वाज्य॑स्य॒ होत॒र्यज॑ ॥ (३)

इंद्र देव अमर, उपासना के योग्य है. वे देवताओं के सर्वेसर्वा और उन के हाथ में चज्र हैं. वे शत्रुओं के नगर नष्ट करने वाले हैं. होता उन के लिए मधुर प्रार्थनाओं से यज्ञ करने की कृपा करों. वे हवि द्वारा आनंदित होने की कृपा करें. (३)
