किय॑ता स्क॒म्भः प्र वि॑वेश भू॒तं किय॑द्भवि॒ष्यद॒न्वाश॑येऽस्य । एकं॒ यदङ्ग॒मकृ॑णोत्सहस्र॒धा किय॑ता स्क॒म्भः प्र वि॑वेश॒ तत्र॑ ॥ (९)

कितने पदार्थ भूतकाल में प्रवेश कर चुके हैं अर्थात्‌ नष्ट हो चुके हैं? इस के आशय अर्थात्‌ उदर में कितने पदार्थ होंगे? अर्थात्‌ भविष्य में कितने पदार्थ उत्पन्न होंगे. इस ने अर्थात्‌ परमात्मा ने अपने एक अंश को हजारों रूपों में प्रकट किया है, उस में कितने पदार्थो ने प्रवेश किया? (९)

How many substances have entered the past i.e. destroyed? How many substances will be in the abdomen? That is, how many substances will be produced in the future. This, that is, God, has revealed a part of Himself in thousands of forms, how many substances entered it? (9)
