तत॑श्चैनम॒न्याभ्या॑म॒क्षीभ्यां॒ प्राशी॒र्याभ्यां॑ चै॒तं पूर्व॒ ऋष॑यः॒ प्राश्न॑न् । अ॒न्धो भ॑विष्य॒सीत्ये॑नमाह । तं वा अ॒हं ना॒र्वाञ्चं॒ न परा॑ञ्चं॒ न प्र॒त्यञ्च॑म् । सू॑र्याचन्द्रम॒साभ्या॑म॒क्षीभ्या॑म् । ताभ्या॑मेनं॒ प्राशि॑षं॒ ताभ्या॑मेनमजीगमम् । ए॒ष वा ओ॑द॒नः सर्वा॑ङ्गः॒ सर्व॑परुः॒ सर्व॑तनूः । सर्वा॑ङ्ग ए॒व सर्व॑परुः॒ सर्व॑तनूः॒ सं भ॑वति॒ य ए॒वं वेद॑ ॥ (३)

'हे देवदत्त! पूर्ववर्ती अनुष्ठान कर्ता ऋषियों ने जिन आंखों की ओर से इस ओदन को खाया था, तुम ने यदि उस से भिन्न उस की आंखों की ओर से खाया तो तुम अंधे हो जाओगे'-गुरु इस प्रकार अपने शिष्य से कहे. शिष्य कहे कि मैं ने इस ओदन को न पराङ्मुख हो कर खाया और न सामने हो कर खाया और न आत्माभिमुख हो कर खाया है. मैं ने इस ओदन को सूर्य और चंद्रमा रूपी आंखों की ओर से खाया है. मैं ने इसे उन्हीं के द्वारा खाया है और इसे वहीं पहुंचा दिया है, जहां इसे पहुंचना चाहिए. यह ओदन सभी अंगों से युक्त, सभी जोड़ों सहित एवं संपूर्ण शरीर वाला है. जो इस ओदन को इस रूप में खाना जानता है, वही समस्त अंगों से युक्त, सभी जोड़ों सहित एवं संपूर्ण शरीर वाला है. "O God! If you eat from the eyes of the sages on whose side the previous rituals ate this odan, you will be blind," the Guru said to his disciple. The disciples should say that I have not eaten this odan in front of me, nor have I eaten in front of me, nor have I eaten it in front of the soul. I have eaten this odan from the eyes of the sun and the moon. I have eaten it through them and delivered it where it should reach. This odan is full of all organs, with all joints and a whole body. The one who knows how to eat this odan in this form is full of all the organs, with all the joints and the whole body. (3)
