तत॑श्चैनम॒न्यैर्दन्तैः॒ प्राशी॒र्यैश्चै॒तं पूर्व॒ ऋष॑यः॒ प्राश्न॑न् । दन्ता॑स्ते शत्स्य॒न्तीत्ये॑नमाह । तं वा अ॒हं ना॒र्वाञ्चं॒ न परा॑ञ्चं॒ न प्र॒त्यञ्च॑म् । ऋ॒तुभि॒र्दन्तैः॑ । तै॑रेनं॒ प्राशि॑षं तैरेनमजीगमम् । ए॒ष वा ओ॑द॒नः सर्वा॑ङ्गः॒ सर्व॑परुः॒ सर्व॑तनूः । सर्वा॑ङ्ग ए॒व सर्व॑परुः॒ सर्व॑तनूः॒ सं भ॑वति॒ य ए॒वं वेद॑ ॥ (६)

'हे देवदत्त! पूर्ववर्ती अनुष्ठान कर्ता ऋषियों ने जिन दांतों की ओर से इस ब्रह्मौदन को खाया था, तुम ने यदि उस से भिन्न उस के दांतों की ओर से इसे खाया तो तुम्हारे दांत गिर जाएंगे.' गुरु अपने शिष्य से इस प्रकार कहे. शिष्य कहे कि मैं ने इस ओदन का न पराङ्मुख हो कर खाया, न सामने से खाया और न आत्माभिमुख हो कर खाया. मैं ने इसे वसंत आदि तऋतुओं रूपी दांतों से खाया है. मैं ने इसे उन्हीं के द्वारा खाया है और इसे जहां जाना चाहिए था, वहीं पहुंचा दिया है. यह ओदन समस्त अंगों से युक्त सभी जोड़ों सहित और संपूर्ण शरीर वाला है. इस विधि से जो इस ओदन को खाना जानता है, वही समस्त अंगों वाला, सभी जोड़ों सहित एवं संपूर्ण शरीर वाला है. Oh God! If you eat it on behalf of the teeth on which the sages who had eaten this brahmaudana, then your teeth will fall. The disciples said, "I have not eaten this odan without any hindrance, nor have I eaten it from the front, nor did I eat it with my soul. I have eaten it with my teeth in the form of spring etc. I have eaten it through them and delivered it wherever it should have gone. This odon is full of all the organs, including all the joints and the whole body. By this method, the one who knows how to eat this odan is the one with all the organs, with all the joints and the whole body. (6)
