तत॑श्चैनम॒न्येन॑ पृ॒ष्ठेन॒ प्राशी॒र्येन॑ चै॒तं पूर्व॒ ऋष॑यः॒ प्राश्न॑न् । वि॒द्युत्त्वा॑ हनिष्य॒तीत्ये॑नमाह । तं वा अ॒हं ना॒र्वाञ्चं॒ न परा॑ञ्चं॒ न प्र॒त्यञ्च॑म् । दि॒वा पृ॒ष्ठेन॑ । तेनै॑नं॒ प्राशि॑षं॒ तेनै॑नमजीगमम् । ए॒ष वा ओ॑द॒नः सर्वा॑ङ्गः॒ सर्व॑परुः॒ सर्व॑तनूः । सर्वा॑ङ्ग ए॒व सर्व॑परुः॒ सर्व॑तनूः॒ सं भ॑वति॒ य ए॒वं वेद॑ ॥ (९)

गुरु अपने शिष्य से इस प्रकार कहे-हे देवदत्त! पूर्ववर्ती अनुष्ठान करने वाले ऋषियों ने जिस पृष्ठ से इस ओदन का सेवन किया है, तू ने यदि उस से भिन्न अर्थात्‌ लौकिक पृष्ठ से इस ओदन का सेवन किया तो विद्युत तेरा विनाश कर देगी. इस के उत्तर के रूप में शिष्य अपने गुरु से कहे कि मैं ने इस ओदन का सेवन न पराङ्मुख होकर किया है, न सामने से किया है और न आत्माभिमुख होकर किया है मैं ने द्यौ रूपी पृष्ठ से इस ओदन का सेवन किया है. इसे जहां जाना चाहिए था मैंने उसे वहीं पहुंचा दिया है. यह ओदन समस्त अंगों से युक्त सभी जोड़े वाला और संपूर्ण शरीर वाला है. इस विधि से जो इस ओदन का सेवन करना चाहता है. वही सब अंगो से युक्त सभी जोड़ों वाला और संपूर्ण फलवाला हो कर स्वर्ग आदि लोकों में स्थित होता है. If you consume this odan from a different page from the page from which the sages performed the previous rituals, that is, from the cosmic surface, then electricity will destroy you. As an answer to this, the disciple should tell his guru that I have not consumed this odan without any face, nor from the front, nor without being self-oriented. I have delivered it where it should have gone. This odan is of all the organs and the whole body. By this method, who wants to consume this odan. He is the one with all the joints and full fruits with all the organs and is located in heaven etc. (9)
