इन्द्रो॑ माम॒रुत्वा॒न्प्राच्या॑ दि॒शः पा॑तु बाहु॒च्युता॑ पृथि॒वी द्यामि॑वो॒परि॑।लो॑क॒कृतः॑ पथि॒कृतो॑ यजामहे॒ ये दे॒वानां॑ हु॒तभा॑गा इ॒ह स्थ ॥ (२५)

मरुतों के स्वामी इंद्र पूर्व दिशा से मेरी रक्षा करें. बाहुओं में प्राप्त पृथ्वी जिस प्रकार ऊपर स्थित स्वर्ग की रक्षा करती है, उसी प्रकार लोकों तथा मार्गो के निर्माताओं की पूजा हम यज्ञ द्वारा करते हैं. हे देवगण! तुम इस यज्ञ में भाग प्राप्त करने वाले बनो. (२५)

May Indra, the swami of the marutas, protect me from the east direction. Just as the earth found in the arms protects the heaven above, in the same way we worship the creators of the worlds and paths through yajna. O God! You become the participant in this yajna. (25)
