स्वप्तु॑ मा॒ता स्वप्तु॑ पि॒ता स्वप्तु॒ श्वा स्वप्तु॑ वि॒श्पतिः॑ । स्वप॑न्त्वस्यै ज्ञा॒तयः॒ स्वप्त्व॒यम॒भितो॒ जनः॑ ॥ (६)

जिस स्त्री को निद्रित कर के हम वश में करने के इच्छुक हैं, उस की माता सब से पहले सो जाए. इस के पश्चात उस का पिता, घर की रक्षा करने वाला कुत्ता और घर का स्वामी उस का पति भी सो जाए. उस के बंधुबांधव एवं उस के घर की रक्षा के लिए नियुक्त चारों ओर स्थित जन भी सो जाएं. (६)
