शश्व॒दिन्द्रः॒ पोप्रु॑थद्भिर्जिगाय॒ नान॑दद्भिः॒ शाश्व॑सद्भि॒र्धना॑नि । स नो॑ हिरण्यर॒थं दं॒सना॑वा॒न्स नः॑ सनि॒ता स॒नये॒ स नो॑ऽदात् ॥ (१६)

घास खा लेने के पश्चात्‌ इंद्र के घोड़े शब्द करते हुए हिनहिनाते हैं और जोरजोर से सांस लेते हैं. इंद्र ने उन्हीं की सहायता से सदा शत्रुओं की संपत्ति को जीता है. इंद्र कर्मपरायण एवं दाता हैं. उन्हीं ने हमें सोने का रथ दिया है. (१६)
