सो चि॒न्नु भ॒द्रा क्षु॒मती॒ यश॑स्वत्यु॒षा उ॑वास॒ मन॑वे॒ स्व॑र्वती । यदी॑मु॒शन्त॑मुश॒तामनु॒ क्रतु॑म॒ग्निं होता॑रं वि॒दथा॑य॒ जीज॑नन् ॥ (३)

भद्रा, शब्दयुक्त एवं अन्न वाली उषा यजमान के लिए आदित्य के साथ शीघ्र उदित हुई. उस समय यज्ञाभिलाषियों के ऊपर प्रसन्न होने वाले एवं देवों को बुलाने वाले अग्नि को उत्पन्न किया गया. (३)
