उदी॑रय पि॒तरा॑ जा॒र आ भग॒मिय॑क्षति हर्य॒तो हृ॒त्त इ॑ष्यति । विव॑क्ति॒ वह्निः॑ स्वप॒स्यते॑ म॒खस्त॑वि॒ष्यते॒ असु॑रो॒ वेप॑ते म॒ती ॥ (६)

हे अग्नि! तुम अपना प्रकाश अपने माता-पिता द्यावा-पृथिवी की ओर इस प्रकार भेजो, जिस प्रकार सूर्य अपनी ज्योति इनकी ओर भेजते हैं. यज्ञ की कामना करने वाला यजमान सच्चे मन से यज्ञ करना चाहता है एवं स्तुति वचन बोलने का इच्छुक है. अध्वर्यु यज्ञकर्म को पूरा करने को उत्सुक है. ब्रह्मा स्तोत्र को बढ़ाते हैं एवं उनकी बुद्धि यज्ञ के विषय में कभी- कभी शंका करने लगती है. O agni! Send your light to your parents, Dyava-Prithvi, just as the sun sends its light to them. The host who wishes for the yajna wants to perform the yajna with a true heart and is willing to speak the word of praise. Adhwaryu is eager to complete the yajnakarma. Brahma increases the hymn and his intellect sometimes begins to doubt about the yagna. (6)
