स॒मा॒नं नी॒ळं वृष॑णो॒ वसा॑नाः॒ सं ज॑ग्मिरे महि॒षा अर्व॑तीभिः । ऋ॒तस्य॑ प॒दं क॒वयो॒ नि पा॑न्ति॒ गुहा॒ नामा॑नि दधिरे॒ परा॑णि ॥ (२)

आहुतियां पूर्ण करने वाले यजमान एकमात्र अग्नि को मंत्रों से आच्छादित करके घोड़ियों को प्राप्त कर चुके हैं. बुद्धिमान्‌ लोग जल के निवासस्थान अग्नि की रक्षा करते हैं एवं अंतरिक्ष में स्थित अग्नि के दिव्य नामों को हृदय में धारण करते हैं. (२)

Hosts who fulfill the offerings have received the mares by covering the only agni with mantras. Wise people protect the agni, the abode of water, and hold the divine names of agni in space in their hearts. (2)
